LOL!
"Rice like tendencies" very politically correct in deed.
I define a ricer as some one who thinks their car is a race car because it has racing stripes, decals all over it, a big spoiler, or a loud exhaust. Normally their "race car" is based on a very un-racing platform. Example: Geo's, Accord's, Cavilier's, Saturn's and other random sedans.

A person going 65 when you did a flyby a 85 might say the same thing.

I think George Carlin once said; Anyone going slower than you are is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you are is a maniac.

I know thats reckless and dangerous and stupid, but there are very few people on here that haven't done it before. Also rice is not driving by someone fast or is even is it rice like tendencies. It is just driving fast. I have seen people in Vettes and even Ferrari's driving ungodly fast. But i would deffeently not consider a Ferrari rice.

ZOMG RX7(or any car)+beckley junction in WV+exsessive speed=rice. You guys are talking about oh I got passed by a vette on a strait strectch. I am talking about one of the most dangerous roads in the state(at least 10 wrecks just about every a week) and you want to go 120 on it. That is retarded and flat out crazy. To me that is rice. Rice to me = retarded and crazy.

I cannot believe I am getting flamed over what I believe is rice, has the forum gone mad.

It's because your definition of rice is wrong. I'm sorry to say but your grasp on "rice-ness" is misinformed. Rice, or being riced out, started with everyone making their compact and mid-sized imports crappy looking by adding stuff onto it that just looked stupid. Now of course those terms are also applied to domestic autos but that's because it's now a slang term, by ricing out a car; i.e. making it look like complete crap by adding stuff that is just, well, crap. The mufflers, the rims, body kits, wild paint jobs, you name it. Everyone here that is going against you believes in that same definition of what is rice. Not once have I've seen someone do something that you've encountered and thought "What a ricer...". Not once. I've thought "Jackass" but that's pretty much it. Just give it some thought and recollect your views on what rice really is. Before this turns out to be a big flame war that ends up getting locked or deleted.

Come up here go 120 were I am saying you wreck and ill sputter by and hold up a big sign that says rice. Cause you did something that defines in my mind as rice. Ferrari does something stupid its cause hes an idiot Ill go by when he wrecks and hold up a sign thats says rice. I dont really care what you guys think about what my opinions about rice are. And hell if you get down to it rice is a food.

Also redneck you guys use that way to much, I am a redneck, or one who has a slight dialect defect(i talk funny) and is mainly from the south (below the Mason Dixion line) and usually does anything to have alil fun. What you all usually define as a redneck ie: the guy who ran over the FB with his H2, that is not a redneck just an imbred retard. Example of a redneck: lifting your FB on a small truck frame while retaining the 12a or 13b in a GSL-SEs case. That is a redneck. One who has made a car/truck to fit his needs or wants.

I agree with 85 on the meaning of 'rice'. The term came about as an insult to cars dressed up as race cars with decals and fast looking but useless add-ons to give it a 'hot' hatch look. The body looked a 100mph faster than the engine could go.

Driving studidly and dangerously is not a 'rice' characteristic, at speed most of their performance parts would blow off.

Put simply, if I hadn't have found the world of the RX-7, i'd probably have a very fast 88 LeSabre right now. Talk about the ultimate sleeper.

My boy has, or should I say had a 87 Lesabre T-Type. What a CRAZY sleeper... and it was FWD. It had a 2004 Pontiac GTP / 3800 Supercharged motor worked... It ran mid 11's in the quarter.

Ive said my piece and I think The noobs should know that I get flamed alot and it has never bothered me and never will.

Now as far as my corsica on a drag, Ive only run it once and that was with my old set up. I ran a 9.2 in the 8th, what is that in the quarter like 13 something aint it. Not to bad for a heavy 4 dorr car if I do say so my self. And yes there is a very stronge following. One of the best examples Ive seen if my swap(or what it was) on steroids. A 3400 DOHC SC motor out of a pontiac, standalone, diffent SC gears pushing 9psi i think, digger injectors, and made like 340hp or something like that. Was in a totaly stock pontiac sunbird. Not bad for 5k and that included the cost of the car.
