Hoe is your reception?

Check the wiring for the antenna.
Mine's been replaced with a rubber "euro-style" antenna. My reception's not bad, but unfortunately my speakers are. My left rear one keeps cutting out. It sucks when you're listening to Queen or The Beatles because alot of their music is stereo, and so you only get half the song. And as per murphey's law, it's never the good half.
Check both sides of the antenna hookups (at the antenna and behind the radio). Using some contact cleaner is a good idea. If you have the stock retractible antenna I don't know much about it. If you have a stationary one they're bloody easy.
As long as you know it's a reception problem and not a speaker problem, then that's where to look. After that, it's looking for replacement radio because they have the receiver built in.
