You would want the S4 flywheel, but you'd need an aftermarket one, so you could use a S5 counterweight. BUT FC N/A tranny arent any better than ours. You really want a TII tranny.

welp.. i have an FC N/A Tranny because i have a S4 6 port in my car right now using the S4 tranny i got with the motor.
and im to cheap/ dont realy have the money to spend on a TII tranny right now.. seeing an N/A tranny will do untill i realy need a new one. then i will get the TII trany.
any whoo.. back to my question at hand... why would i need to get an aftermarket flywheel? if its ment to fit an S4 wouldent it be the same as an S4 flywheel just made of a lighter materal.. and have holes in it?
and how about a S5 N/A tranny i saw one at the yard the other day.. i can pick it up for like $60 on half off day i think. if i had a S5 would that work? eh?
im clue less on this.. damn mazda... why cant they make it simple... and all have the same damn flywheel!

I thought the couterweight was supposed to match the rotating assembly of the engine, and the flywheel had to match the tranny. So with a s5 TII motor / s4 na trans you would need a counterweight from an automatic turbo (or an FD) and an aftermarket s4 na flywheel. Or am i confused?

Yes you need the S5 auto counterweight with the S4 N/A light weight steel flywheel. As far as the tranny goes, what I was getting at was that the S4 N/A tranny is no better than the one that you allready have. Just use your current tranny. Dont make more work for yourself for no gain man.
