High rpm miss
A little background info:
RB header, and presliencer
Yaw carb
mildly ported intake
no emissions
I can't quite get my new carb tuned right. By holding the gas steady in neutral I could hear a very slight miss beginning at 3k and gets worse the higher the rpm. By 7k it is really bad. It felt strongest with as delivered 56 and 58 jets. The 57 and 59 jets felt about the same. With 55 and 56 jets the miss isn't as bad, but it doesn't feel as strong, esp. above 5k. It's hard to gage performance since the car doesn't have plates yet, ahum. I can't seem get ahold of Paul... do you guys have any suggestions?
BTW, it's pulling 17-18 inches at 750 rpm and idles perfect. The fuel pressure is 2.5 psi and the bottom of the meniscus is dead on ***** center of the sight glass.
I forgot to check the plugs. It's a bitch to work on a car that is 150 miles away.

8krpm is not enough
plugs, coils, wires, would be a good place to start. If you're fuel delivery seems "dead on" then I'd definatly start looking at spark.
If you've got OEM coils in there, I'd suggest a nice set of MSD blaster II coils. at ~25$ a pop, they're not a bad deal, and they seem to work pretty well.
Cap and Rotor if they havn't been done in a while too.
Hope it helps.
