Me post useless info? Yes, on occasion it has been known to happen. Keep in mind that what I posted is not for your eyes only, it's for the community in general and I'm sure others will find it useful. In your case, most of what I stated earlier regarding a 13BT build will still apply to a 350 hp 12A as far as the engine mods needed to achieve your goals and a semblence of durability. Since rotarys have no heads, bore or stroke, the only way to make use of more air/fuel, in and out of the engine is to port the intake and exhaust, requiring a rebuild, period.

A full rebuild kit is just shy of 900 bucks for a 12A. If one is shooting for your stated hp, anything short of a full build is a pointless waste of time, effort and parts, not to mention money. The stock carb on all 7s was a Nikki, as were most pre-7 rotarys with the exception of certain 13Bs that came with Hitachis. The REPU comes to mind as one of those exceptions.

At this point in time, the best advice I can give you is to start reading voraciously thoughout the 1st amd 2nd gen sectios. there is a great deal of info to be gleaned, not oly on this forum, but also in the nopistons.com website, in particular, the 'Engine Building and Porting' sub-forum.

Happy bloodshot eyeballs mate.

I'm just gonna buy a JDM motor all ready built for and with the turbo and then upgrade the physical car around it. I just want to hit the 12 second range with 10lbs of boost. :o

Were is my apology? You gotta understand most guys on here including me have built motors and learned much along the way. So take it for what its worth. You can rebuild a motor for less than $150, but thats basically tearing the motor down and having everything in excellent shape replace a few gaskets and soft seals....and thats it! What your talking about is a serious, costly rebuild. Good luck building a 350hp w/ $80 housings "buddy" !

Yeah man, I was sleepy then and read through the posts quickly because I am trying to do my "homework" on this project.
My origonal apology was intended for you really, in the first place. I just got the names mixed up...
So, if it makes you feel better I apologise again! To you in particular.

Man, to hell with it. I have generated nothing but aimosity from this forum, with a single question (or maybe a single remark...) I'm sure you all think I'm an idiot and a lost cause, and I'm not gonna try and change your minds.
You guys tell me that you know it all by heart, and I can't disagree with you one bit. Though to tell you the truth I still don't think you got my origonal question.

I'll buy a 200 dollar used 12a, put it in my worthless, but immaculate car and give it to my elderly mother. She likes them, and dosent need any power at all.
Know this though - I have a gt40 v8 with around 350 hp sitting in my garage, and if I was a true dumbass I would put it in the RX7 and ruin a beautifull thing. But I can't bring myself to ruin a great ride, even if it would only be three hundred out of my pocket for the used kit on this forum.

I'm gonna take my sub-par car and my broke *** and get off your forum.

Apologies ad goodbye I guess...
