Hey Everybody
Hey hows it going. I just bought a 1979 rx7, with a carbed 13b. I'm going to basically restore the car myself. I hope if I have any questions you guys could give me some answers. I'm just really excited about this project cus I think these cars are gorgeous and unique. I've looked around this forum and, alot of you guys seem like good guys with knowledge, sick cars and a love for rotary engines like me.

I'm the second owner of the car actually wich is pretty cool. I wanna go with a full rebuild nice side draft carbs. full exhauast. a later model tranny with a closer gear ratio. different rear end gears with limited slip. Freshen up the interior came with that brownish colour. the dash is perfect not a crack or scratch on it needs 2 seats the rest is mint. rear disc convertion. rims tires. aftermarket rad. I dont know what there is for ignition. for sure an electonic ignition. aftermarket oil cooler. basically change everything. I wanna go with running no oil injectionj just pre mix it. im getting the car painted british racing green with the upper portion black.umm. i just want this thing to be perfect you know? its a classic man seriously i dont want to turn it into a gay aftermarket/ bolton everything you can car. i want it so older people like it and young people.

You've got some great plans for the car! A lot of them are just like mine. For the ignition, take a look at the 2gcdfistt thread...basically using elements from both the FB and the FC with great results.

wow great to hear a "newbie" actually knowing his ****! lol. good luck with the car...british racing green/black sounds awesome. what do you plan on using for rims? there's quite a few old school rims out there that fits the 4x110 (actually there's hardly any) but they are out there. if you change your suspension over to gsl-se you will have the 4x114.3 bolt pattern, and then go to www.club4ag.com and go to the wheels for sale secion....lots of old school wicked wheels for your ride
warm welcome. im in ontario too....welland, close to niagara falls.
