Hey dude w/ coil overs!

Who are you again? I forgot the post, but you posted that you just got them in and you asked if they were set too low or not...

Anyways i have some questions about your suspension setup.

Peace

Geoff

How difficult were these to install?

If i don thave any welding tools. Would the local shop be able to do it?

What do you have in the rear?

I don't have welding stuff, I just took them across the street to a shop that did welding and showed them the little diagram that comes with 'em and they did it for $40 I think.. Took 'em an afternoon.

As far as installing goes, not hard at all. The toughest part is getting the stock strut assembly off. GC sends nice instructions that say how everything goes together.

If you're serious about getting them, PM ARDT2 (go to wheel & tire section, he's the guru) and he can hook you up on price.

As far as the rears, right now I just have stock springs and Illuminas. I was looking for a way to create adjustable ride height spring perches for the rear, but haven't gotten to far along there as of yet. Probably just order some of the tight wound GC springs to get the rear a tad lower.

Hope that helps!

I called GC the other day, they reccomended this setup (I told them i want it really low, and to be able to go auto-x on the weekends)

He said ok here s what you want:

Coil overs in the front
GC racing springs rear (w/ dead coils, you can cut the dead coils to whatever size you want)
Tokiko Illuminas

So i was goign to get that, and also prolly get racing beat swaybars.

I should be able ot get it really low without sacrificning the actual travel or ride quality.

yup... that's what I reccommend.

If you drop the front much you'll want to get a set of turn-in spacers as well. Brings the roll center back to where it should be. No they aren't techinally legal for autocross, but I doubt they'll care....

PM 1st7heaven... He makes 'em alot cheaper than RB.

Also, for sway bars, just ditch the rear and get the 1 1/8" front bar... I havn't done it yet, but that's on the list....
