Help Tunning S5 intake...
Block is GSL-SE with RB road race exhaust
Got it running but it only keeps itself running over about 2.5 - 3k rpm... when it does run it pops a lot and isn't very smooth.
I figured its running pretty lean but not sure...
Either way I haven't messed with it extensively or anything as I just got it running and haven't eaten in like two days... I haven't given the GSL-SE CPU time to seat in either although I don't know how much that will help. So just wondering if anyone has any tips so I got a starting point when I get back from lunch.

The SE ECU does not process like a OBD 2 systems does. So there is no adjust time. If you are popping and have a high idle I would be looking for a vacuum leak.
What AFM are you using and what injectors?

Yeah I"m utilizing the VDI, I already got that to work as the engine will run over about 2k rpm. I got new injectors and put them on the GSL-SE primary rail. Once I get the haltech (couple weeks) there will be two injectors at the stock s5 location and two more injectors slightly higher up (primary secondary tertiary) Since then I am going to put the Whipple supercharger on. Of course first I have to finish porting my spare block and send it out to get cermet coated, the rotors balanced and the compression ratio dropped etc. etc. Anyways if you check out my other post a couple down I'm getting a really obnoxious whine from my fuel rail. I'm changing out the fuel pressure regulator tomorrow since that is the only part of the rail that is left that isn't new just to make sure I didn't put a hole in the diaphragm or something. I found air whipping around underneath the upper intake manifold but could not locate where it is coming from although it does sound like a leak... I'm going to try to isolate that tomorrow as that may be the cause of the whole thing. Just in case you were wondering I will be running 25 psi boost. The only reason it doesn't act like a vacuum leak normally does though is because it will die if you don't give it gas. So I think maybe there is something related to the whining at the fuel rail since that makes me think its leaned out on me. Tomorrow I am going to throw the Air fuel mixture sensor on it... that will help me figure out whats going on.
