Help with Noise

Ok finally getting the 84 running good. The guy I got this one from was trying to make it fast before he made it run right. The problem is it has a racing beat header on it and it loud inside real loud. My son has one on his and he doesnt care he just turns up the stereo I guess. Is there any way to make it a little less loud. I dont have the stock exhaust so thats not and option. Thanks

there is an engine volume control under your right foot. the harder you push the volume, the louder it gets. just don't push it hard.

or you can put a quite exhaust on it.

With the RB presilencer and muffler, the car is tolerable quiet.

Borla center/offset 14" oval for a pre-silencer. 14" center/tip oval for the rear.

what other cars have you driven before? reason i asked is because you may be used to quiet family cars. Every car that has an RB exhaust system that i've heard is very very quiet.

The presilencer might have lost all its packing. That made my car loud inside.

This the third rx7 the other two where for my sons. The oldest one has a racing beat header on his but I had friends at midas do his exhaust I am going to take it to them and let them look at it. The guy I got this from may have installed it wrong. The sound wouldnt be bad but it is inside no odor so no leaks just loud. I mainly mess with bikes and most have open pipes so I am used to loud stuff just not inside.

Something is wrong with the system. I can barely hear my RB at cruise unless I jab the go pedal. Hell, if I have the music up loud I can't hear it til 4K rpm.
