help needed
Hey, I posted earlier about being a new owner, and apparently I'm just as ignorant as I was then.
I was having problems with the car stalling, and surging with light acceleration (bucking even, as if it was switching between rather high throttle and coasting every 1/2 second or so)
Figuring that it may be a carb problem, me and my moms boyfriend set out and rebuilt the carb. Everything was frigging great for about a day, the car was smooth, no bucking, little popping sounds from the back though.
And then I drove my sister into town. The car gradually slipped back into it's old ways. Started idling really low(drop down too 400rpm and then go back up too 800 (we had it set too idle around 1200, because it didn't like holding anything lower), bogging down I add gas, surging under light throttle, basically being a very bad car.
Does anyone have any or all of the problems? A would very much like a bit of help, my only guess is it has something too do with the ACV/emission stuff. Is that an ok guess?
Please help. Also I do not have too pass any smog tests if that makes any difference. I just want too get the car running well.
P.S. Does anyone have any experience with Rotary Performance in Denver Colorado, if I am unable too fix this I should be able to scrape the funds together and bring her in.

Do the symptoms you are describing begin right away when you stop or is there a 10 second or so pause before it starts idling poorly. Part of the vacuum system knocks the idle down if idling longer than 10 seconds I think it is, I can't recall where.

The tach drops down when I engage the clutch it keeps on going too it's lowest point. It then raises itself after sitting for about 7-15 seconds. Makes it a pain when I turn because it never raises itself in the time alloted and when I apply gas it drops the tach before it goes up.
My tach also goes lower if I have anything "on" lights, heater, but not the radio. Is this normal? Is there anything I can do to fix it? The headlights alone drop my idle about 400rpm, and I don't even try to use the heater unless I'm driving home on the highway.
