Help! My windows have fogged over and they wont clear!
Ahhh! I can't see out my windows! Ok, well, here's the situation i'm having. For the first time since I bought my car in May, I am driving it in cold weather (30's 40's). Now it's been raining a lot and my windows got foggy the other day, so I hit the little defrost button on the GSL-SE and put the temp on cool and hit the a/c button and hit the "recirc" button (wow, that's a lot of steps) and the windows got more foggy. then I tried warm temperature, no change, i tried without the defrost button pushed in, no change, i tried every combination of buttons and temperatures but the only thing that clears my window is a freakin paper towel! One thing that worries me is when I have the defrost on and i move the temperature from cold to hot, white smoke comes out of the vents for about 10 seconds and it smells like antifreeze!! Does anyone have a clue as to what is going on here and why my windows will not clear up? Please help! Thanks.

This always works for me although it might be a bit troublesome at times.
1)Get some FogX and use it
2)Crank up the heat but dont put the fan on high. Medium should be enough.
3)Just sit there for a few min for the windows to warm to the interior tempurature.
4)If all else fails, crank open the window JUST a little bit.
This helps a lot for me and hopefully it'll help you too.
Peace,
AJ ^_^

Does the white smoke smell sweet, like maple syrup?
If so, don't go grab some pancakes, get a new heater core instead.
When I used to smoke a lot I had lots of trouble with "Nicotine Tint" which seems impervious to defrosting.
You could also try driving with the sunroof open... helps the airflow. Might want to crack the driver's window a bit, too... RX-7 has a small cabin and people put off a LOT of humidity.
Oh yeah and don't use recirc! You want FRESH air when defrosting. Hell that might be your whole problem, although it still doesn't explain the white smoke.
