HELP in Minnesota
I recently purchased a clean FB, and it had carb issues. I've been able to adjust the mixture enough that it's drivable, but would like to get it set correctly.
I called a couple import places and they either told me to , or just plain hung up on me. Does anybody know of a RX-7 specialist in the Twin Cities?
Hell, if anybody local wants to come by and help me, i'd be willing to pay for the service. plus I'll supply the beer.

im in Mankato, I could clean it up for you.
always happy to help out a fellow owner.
I dont have my tools at my new house yet, but soon.
you might consider removeing the rats nest (the HUGE mess of vacume hoses and ****) trying to lock down a vacuum leak in this is near impossible, probably more so in the cali model.
Mine is also an 82, I removed the rats nest and disabled the shutter valve and it turned the car around 180 degrees. One of the first things I did to it.

I'm in the Twin Cities area. If you need any help let me know, i'm pretty good with the 'ol Nikki carbs, but got rid of mine and upgraded to a sidedraft setup. MUCH easier to tune and work with.

I would appreciate any help i can get.
and i'm considering the side draft carb, but can't justify spending the money right now.
as far as the rat's nest, I'm reluctant to remove it, because i'm moving back to cali in a year or so, and this is the only car i own that still has a functioning emisssions system.
