Help me remove my mouse nest.

There are stainless steel screws in the rubber gasket at the front, 4, iirc. You will need to take the wiper arm off and feed the squirter line in for clearance. Then the panel lifts up and pulls forward. Mouse nest, lol.

One day I opened the hood on the Sa and there was a mouse that had worked it's way into the openings under the hood. It took a garden hose and some patience to wait for him to get to a opening where I could remove him from the hood.

oh man this reminds me when we took a truck out of storage, started it up and it ran well for a second then one of the belts was making a screeching noise then stopped. After opening the hood everything seemed fine, we moved the truck and as i looked down noticed a mouse had done something like jump, get caught in the belt, and get decapitated. After looking in the truck i found the nest as well.

Why is that space in there so damn huge, anyway?

not that I'm aware of. Makes it all the more critical you clean that space thoroughly, so your little guy isn't breathing in minute particles of mouse poop from the vents when he rides in your car.
