Help with installing MSD on GSLSE trailing ignition.
Has anyone ever installed an MSD 6A on their trailing ignition on a GSLSE. My car would not start. Found out the trailing igniter fires the fuel injectors too. I wanted to remove the igniter and use the magetic pickup. Is it possible? Or do I have to run it through the igniter and use the white wire for signal? I know I need a MSD tach adapter I guess, but which one? For magnetic or for regular pickup? Thanks.

I had a similar problem on my '80. In '80 and earlier the tach signal comes from the leading coil because the trailing coil isn't alwayds firing.
What I did was wire it up per MSD instructions... everything on the oid coil+ goes to the small red wire, everything on the old coil- goes to the white wire. The tach signal wire is either yellow w/green stripe, or green w/yellow stripe... but if you just take EVERYTHING off of the given coil terminal and hook it up to the proper MSD wire, it'll work fine and your tach will still work.
