Help, failed e-test
Curb Idle:
HC ppm Limit 300, actual 20 =pass
co% Limit 1.5, actual .02=pass
NO ppm Limit NA
40km/h
HC ppm Limit 125, actual 55 =pass
co% Limit 0.7, actual 1.22=FAIL
NO ppm Limit 1416, actual 989 =pass
Here is my question:
If I connect the main air tube directly to the air pump, do you think my car will pass. It passed on evrything except for the CO at speed. I'm also going to replace my air filter. Also my evaporative air canisters small tube was disconected, could that have been the problem.
Going for a re-test tomorrow at 8. HELP!

The test units that we use in Ontario check specifically for "dilution", where "clean" air is mixed with the exhaust...same might happen to you.
(I got rejected before the test even started! secret for me was a solid warmup to ensure the thermal reactor was working (it wasn't the first time), but I also had to replace the MOP).
The answer for me was to make
