Question HELP: any 13b fuel inj. with RB full exhaust?

OK the question is very simple;

anybody with a stock SE RX-7 with fuel injection and Racing Beat Street Port Complete Exhaust System on a 13b even when the engine is NOT ported???? If so, do you have a video or a sound clip?

Also, anybody with a stock SE RX-7 with fuel injection and Racing Beat High Performance Exhaust full System on a 13b? If so, do you have a video or a sound clip?

I want to know how it sounds and its performance... I love the sound of a ported engine but im still not convinced of doing it ... And if I get the sound I want with either system Then I will not port the engine ... i do not want to spend the $$$ on the Racing Beat High Performance Exhaust full System for non ported engines if the sound & performance is not what I want... ...
Based on this I will get either one of the systems and also decide if im gonna port the engine or not...

I have an 85 GSL SE completelly stock with only a little over 80k miles all original...

You wont regret it. I had it on my stock SE for about 25 miles before i decided to to ported S5 motor. The performance and sound is almost enough to make your legs buckle.

I've been running the RB full exhaust for about 4 years now on a stock 13B engine. I highly recommend it.

Well, no sound clips available.

The RB set up is great bang for the buck.
The sound on a stock Se is very mellow and removes the tinny sound. That is what a Standard system is like.
I have not heard the streetport system on a stock se engine.

Install that and a set of pineapple racing sleeves for the 6 ports and you will notice a significant response in acceleration.

I got the high performance exhaust system, since the engine is stock. No sound clips since anything I have to record it wouldn't do it justice, and it's tough to record the exhaust when the engine is under load.

Ask MosesSA22C - he's heard my RB exhaust on many occasions, both as passenger and from the outside. He might give you some 3rd party objective critique.

I've compared the sound of those setups side by side and I couldn't tell any significant difference. We were at a rotary meet and were wondering the same thing you are. Two people had stock SE's, each had RB exhausts. One with the single pipe one with double. Performance will be better with the streetport exhaust if your engine is streetported. If you use the streetport exhaust without the ported engine I would think your performance would suffer slightly due to the extra weight of the double pipes and presilencers.

I called Racing beat and they told me that I would get more HP with the ported system even if I did not have the engine ported.. however I had to weld something ( i dont remember) to the heather for the fuel injection to work properly...

Where in FL are you ?

I sure won't argue with RB. My comment wasn't directed to HP but the extra weight of the second pipe and presilencer. Probably not a very significant issue. From the Mazdatrix site, http://www.mazdatrix.com/r-exh-85.htm
you need 16-MZTX-4230
It comes with an O2 sensor bung and auxillary port actuator for the 13B 6-port FI. I'm not sure what you would need to weld on.
I'm in Naples, over on the left coast.

Not sure why the need to weld on but that is what I was told by them... Did you see the price of it on mazdatrix compared to racing beat? why would anyone buy it from mazdatrix??

The exhaust at the link I posted for Mazdatrix comes with the O2 bung and aux actuator pipe for $1009 (16-MZTX-4230). I didn't look to hard but the RB site doesn't seem to list an exhaust for the GSLSE with FI and an O2 bung, just the actuator pipe (16424) for $898. Mazdatrix lists #16424 for $885. Actually Mazdatrix is usually about the same price as RB.
