Help!

Ok, so i am working on a 13b-re motor swap into a first gen currently i have the motor and tranny removed and prepping the engine bay for paint. 2 questions


1 what is this? (the black container with 2 lines connecting to it) and do i need it/ necessary?

2 i wanna know if the coolant lines going through the firewall into the cockpit have to be re hooked up with the new motor?

1. Charcoal Canister. Used for emissions, usually helps keep some smell away

2. No, you do not need to rehook them. That goes to your heater core, so you can have heat in the winter; if you hook them up, you will have heat.
