Headlight Motor Problem

Alright i've searched and read a few cases but none were related to mine that i could find, after doing the engine rebuild, went to go in the car and drive it, turned on the lights, everything seems fine, except something seems to be drawing excess voltage. I thought I'd turn off all the lights to see if any difference, still. As I turned off the light the driver side stayed up. Never happened before. Shut down the car went to pop the hood and manualy put it down, it just would resufe. I would do 1 or 2 turns and the nthe motor automatically kicked back it and lifted it back up. tried turning the car back on and off still same thing. This was at night so i thought I'd leave thing till the morning. Next morning I hop in the car. Battery is totally dead. So i went to charge the battery up and I htought i'd do a test on the charging system. Did everything, everything charged fine. so then went to look for leaks and from my primary suspect that headlight motor was getting hot. So I unplugged it and left both of them in the up position. Now does anyone know what might be causing this?

Could just be a bad relay for the motor. From the sounds of it, the motor actually lifting back up and drains the battery, sounds like it's stuck in the "On" position. Your switch may be off, but the relay and whatever else that is connected to that motor is still getting current to it. Try removing power from it, see if that changes things.

I've already pulled the cable to the motor. Where exactly is that relay?

I *think* it's right beside the ****. I don't know exactly, I've never messed with it, but looking at a picture, it might be that square thing right by the **** cover.

I honestly think you have a faulty wiring or fuse on that headlight motor. I'm not sure if what I have pointing to in the picture is the relay, my car is still in the shop so I can't get a good look at it yet, but if that is, that could've gone bad.
