I have a stock stereo and have added just a 200 watt amp, i also have a electric door poper. I dont think it is draining my battery, just my stock alt cant keep up with the electronics. I have removed my a/c pump and think that i could use the bracket for a single wire alt, charging a second battery. I have looked at all the threads that contain the word altenator and have found nothing. Im wondering if anyone has done this b4, and/or if it was practical.

I don't believe it has been done and no it would not be practical.
The best thing you could do is either get a high amp alternator from a stereo shop that sometime specialize in these.
Or you can see if Bosch offers a high amp alternator for the 2nd gen type.
I know that they do not offer one for the 1st gens.

Cosmo alternators are 100amp. That will be plenty even with two thermo fans and a stereo.
I have a 1600watt amplifier in my wagon and it seems fine (stock alternator, possibly Capella)
Only car I've seen with twin alternators was a race/rally car
