I hear someone complaining about were it will idle at. Woopy do! IT idles were it idles. Whats the difference if it idles at 500rpm or 2800rpm? Give me a GOOD explaination that means anything. I have my bridge as big as possible without going into the water groove, so its rotor housing matched obviously. IT will idle 1900-2100 depending on its mood. Again why does it matter really? IF you use this car primarily in traffic, you have the wrong car. Mildport is 1/8 as fun as a bridge in my opinion.

Yeap but Wacky you are missing my point. I want to have decent power and yet have the surprise factor...common man if you pull out next to any car on the street (which you can't according to your remark since you have a race car not a street car) your exhaust/engine sound is a tell tale sign of what is under the hood. Most people I do race know what a bridge port sounds like. Does that explain the idle deal?

BTW no no I won't use another car nor engine like you mentioned before...ROTARY power man that's the whole point of my question.

Common the whole reason I'm asking is because I don't want to buy a Honda or a Toyota...I have built both of those types of cars (and they are both awesome) but there is something I love about the rotaries and I know a wimpy 12a with the right mods can kick some serious *** and yet be reliable, drivable by my girlfriend and all that without going turbo.

Again the car is not strictly for street. But it will be used to scare the folks with street cars..get it? nothing new, but I want to do it for braggin rights.

I hear you on the power level. Can you tell me please what would be the difference in a halfbridge vs full bridge port in terms of power? is it that much? I would think that the power level I'm asking 200hp (flywheel), is not that off with a halfbridge so it would work out.

What do you mean by 1/8 the fun? is it that much fun??? how much man? I want some fun...not 1/8 the fun

Help me out here I want to represent the old school rx7s.

ahh I'm trying to locate an 48 IDA weber now...hopefully I won't loose out on this deal tomorrow. If I strike the deal then it's weber and halfbridge. Forget about the brap brap comment.... I guess I'll live with it but I'll save money on the seals too. I'll run stockers. Everything is falling within budget...ain't it great? got to love rotaries.

The problem is like someone mentioned before. A half bridge will still be there even when its not open on a 4barrel like a perpheral intake ports are there even when the throttles are shut. The exhuast will finds its way up into those voids were there is open space during the low rpm overlap with little or no load. It will still sound like a bridgeport like a perpheral will still sound like a perpheral. Your best bet to not sound like a bridgeport when next to your honda or rustang is to have the music very loud and they won't hear it. But I think the shock factor is not possible without a very restrictive quiet exhuast.
