half bridge, half street....

I am wanting to do this.... if I have the center bridged, and the outter plates street ported, will I need special seals???

I would rather have the outter plates ported, and the center plate, street, so if I can ever keep my foot out of it, I can recieve partially good milage.... and, a better idle

Well... THANX, LATERZ, Andrew

PS, which mods should be done?

like HP oil pump? better radiator? Harden stationary gears?

Oh yeah, whats the rev range?

Thanx, Laters, Andrew

Yes, you can use the stock seals. All you have to do is flip them around on the rear rotor so the corner piece is adjacent to the centre plate. This allows you to cut a nice big bridge in the secondaries with matched rotor housings.

Rev limit will be 8400 as it should be on any stock-sealed engine and it should make good power from around 5000rpm. Maybe even a bit lower.

I wouldn't worry about hardened stationary gears or anything like that as it's completely unecessary. On the other hand a HV oil pump is always a good investment as is the oil pressure mod.

And lastly, you'll obviously need a suitable 4-barrel carby to obtain all the benifits of a partial bridge-port.

okay... can I bridgey the outer plates, and street the inner?

Bigger ports on the outter, and better all around for me

Can this be done by fliping the front apex seals???

Thanx, dont worry about the fuel... thinking of a RB holley setup..

And the car I am getting has a full RB exhaust!!!

Well, THANX, LATERZ, Andrew

When you say secondaries, do you mean outter plates, as I am thinking??? So its the back apex seals for secondaries...

THANX!!!!

How do you perform the "oil" mod?

I will jump for a HV Oil pump

How does that work? The primaries feed the outer ports and the secondaries feed the inners?

I never really took a close look at the intake runners.

So it'll run like a street up until 4500 RPM when the bridges kick in?

Cool.

Would a yaw feed that?

Would a Yaw feed that? Nope. Not big enough for anything over about 200hp.

Primaries are the inner ports secondaries are outer. If you are using a vacuum secondary Holley you could probably make it work quite well. Don't go very big on the bridge and definitely have a set of headers.
