H4 Conversion Lenses

I found a site with 7" round conversion lenses so H4 bulbs can be used.

I already e-mailed them about the DOT. No reply yet. I got my conversion lenses, for my 2nd gen, off Ebay and they are DOT legal.

Don't you guys ever read the old threads?!?!

Coolbulbs is CRAP. Do NOT buy from them. They specialize in crappy HID conversions and useless crappy "superwhite" bulbs.

If you want an actual headlight upgrade, talk to Dan Stern.
dan@mbz.org
http://lighting.mbz.org/

He knows EVERYTHING about headlights.

Read this thread here:
https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...ighlight=stern

It's from a couple weeks ago when we were talking about this VERY same thing.

Also, did anyone notice how on the cool bulbs site the "GOOD" headlight picture has the lights improperly aimed to glare directly INTO the camera? That's exactly what you DON'T want, lmao!

I did a search with "coolbulbs" b4 I posted and I came up with nothing.

I emailed Dan and asked him a bunch of q's about his products, hopefully he'll get back with me quickly. I haven't gotten the kit that I bought from eBay yet, but I'll think I'll put it on my Probe since it has the same size lights as my 2nd gen. Even if they do suck, they have to be better than the stock sealed beams. I'll probably end up getting the Cibie E-code lenses from Dan for my 2nd gen. I'll wait and see what he says first b4 I buy any bulbs.

Thanks for that link to Dan's website .

Np... I just like to try and encourage good headlights

We don't need any Rex's in accidents 'cause they couldn't see with crappy headlights...

AND I see WAY to many crappy headlight setups on the road. Improperly aimed lights, crappy blue lights... ARGHHH!!!!

...
Sorry, it's a bit of a pet peeve...

That sounds a little too good. I will check into it. So they ARE better than the sealed beam?

Those will fit and one difference is they use HB2 bulbs and most of the others use H4, but go to Dan's site listed above and read about the Hella's.

Hella

Hey

I went to dans site and bought the H4's.........i was not impressed till after i put my new shocks on and had them adjust the lights for me....

the high beams are killer.........they stop traffic.....they are adjusted a little high burns right through big suv's......

I have the "blue Hid" bulbs on my ford ranger........these are 10 times better......H4's adjusted right are the way to go.....

I think mine are the ones with the 100 watt high beams....

Jim
