gsl-se wheels

what is the width of the stock gsl-se wheels and which is their offset?
which is a safe offset for 7.5" wide wheels?

If I'm not mistaken they're 14x5.5 with an offset of 40mm. According to wheelweights.net they weigh in at 13 lbs.

that's correct...

a safe offset for a 7.5" wheel?

I run 40mm offset for my 16x7 wheels, and that is right at the limit for enough clearance on the inside edge of the strut...

40mm on 16x7!!!can you guess the clearance between inside edge and strut?
i think that a 35mm offset on 16x7.5 should be fine.
