Question GSL-SE Question, WHAT IS THAT CLICKING NOISE!

Alright guys, I need a little help here. My car has not started in 2 weeks now. During this time, I checked the ignition which turned out ok and compression which is an average of 105psi and 100psi in the two rotors. That ofcourse is a cold reading but I think it should still be good enough for start-up. So far I was under the impression that cranking the car has flooded the engine but I just noticed i don't hear any clicking noise that I use to get from under the hood before. Does anyone know what the clicking noise is when you turn the ignition switch on? Is it just the fuel pump at the back that you are supposed to hear? I could have sworn there was a relay or an electrical click which i don't hear anymore.

The main electrical relays are under the hood on the drivers side of the engine bay to the aft of the strut tower. Check yer battery, do the gauges come up when you turn on the ignition (volts should come up and so should the fuel level (if yer not already on e), what about the idiot lights / buzzers? Check your fusable links as well, those might be shot / loose. Mine actually needed to be removed, cleaned with contact cleaner and then just plugged back in.

Offhand, I don't hear my fuel pump.. might be the holes in the exhaust

My fuel pump is quite audible. A subtle, but noticeable clicking sound comes from the rear of the car when on "ON", mainly becuase that's ALL my car makes for noise... other than the stereo... heh...

I have had and am having trouble w/ my fusible links. Your prob sounds very similar. I know when my main link blows and i reattach the new one, i get an electrical click. I definately hear the contact cleaner gig, make sure as well the contacts have not pushed through the back of the sockets from repeated plugging. OOOOr, your fusible link may well have blown. . . remove the main, look carefully at the fabric sheathing, is there an odd light spot on it as opposed to the darker rest of the sheath? this is a sign it has blown. If so, for a TEMPORARY fix, place the fusible from the spot marked "retract" in that row of links into the "main". If indeed your main link was shot, the car should go. It was recommended to me to replace the rotting fusibles with either a retrofit of a secong gen fuse box or (what I am doing for the time being) is replace the link with an in line mini blade fuse, 30 amp. Just take the two spade ends off the old link and solder them to the ends of the mini fuse. If fuses keep blowin', you got a short. check the ignition cylander, they are notorious in the first gens.
