GSL-SE OMP flow rate question
#3
The 85 FSM shows the test for the 12A, which measures total output of the mop, it makes no mention of testing the 13B. My assumption would be that the output rate would be similiar between the 2 mops, the only difference being the 13B is split into 4 lines and lubes more effectively. With that in mind, I would think the 13B would mop would put out less.
However, to totally confuse things, the 87 FSM test shows removing 2 lines, running the engine for 5 minutes, as opposed to 6 and the output should be 4.2-5.6 cc for the non-turbo and 5.2-6.6 cc for the turbo. When comparing the 12A to the 13BT, the later engine has approximately 6 times more mop output.
Interesting question Jeff, I don't have an answer for that one.

Thanks guys. I had originally considered using a 12A front cover because they're more common and simply adding a T or Y fitting to each line, but figured the oil would follow the path of least reistance. Not a good idea.
I figured the GSL-SE unit, with its four fittings at the source, would be a better idea. But then there's the lower flow rate...
I wonder if I could compensate for the lower flow rate by adding a couple extra washers under the lever.

That depends. For all carb set up, less smoke without the extra oil line @ housing.
