GSL-SE Oil Capacity
Recently purchased an 85 GSL-SE and changed the oil. Drained 4 quarts and then added 4 quarts and the dipstick says full. I thought the oil capacity was 6 quarts. Any ideas?

Oil capacity is in the factory service manual (7.4 U.S. quarts) which also includes the oil cooler. Did you also drain the oil cooler? Run the car for a minute or so and measure again on the dipstick.
Asking how much oil a particular car holds is really a trick question. The answer is "until it registers in the middle of the dip stick."

By the way, it's not recommended to try and drain the front mount oil cooler as you do more damage to the plumbing bungs in loosening and tightening than any benefit of draining ALL the oil out vs. what's in the oil pan.
Typical oil changes are the 4 qts in the pan and the filter. With the top-mounted filter location, there's really no reason not to change it if you're doing the oil anyway. There's probably only about a quart and a half in the oil cooler, anyway. This gradually gets blended over time and eventually it gets washed out in the next oil change. HTH,
