GSL-SE Flood- Clearing Article

I had printed an excellent article from the internet on how to start a flooded SE about a year ago and have lost it. It was 2 or 3 pages and was divided into 2 sections : the easy method and the difficult.

I've searched our 1st gen. FAQ section, Mazdatrix, Felix's Place, and elsewhere and cannot locate it. Can anyone help me locate it?

Thanks,
John

John,

Sorry but their is no record of you posting a thread with that information nor any posts that you did in a thread of that nature. At least not on this site.

We do however have many threads that have that information in them now.

Thanks for finding this. I thought maybe he had posted the link here in a thread so I was looking for that.

In regards to that article.

In some cases the procedure listed will not do the job.

At that point you will need to tow the vehicle in 2nd or 3rd gear with the plugs out and the ignition and fuel disabled.

what i usually do is take out the plugs, and disconnect the egi fusible links. clean the plugs with brakleen, then crank the engine over. once there is no more gas coming out of the plug holes i put the plugs back in. of course the last time i did it, i made a bad mistake. i connected the trailing wires incorrectly ><
