GSL-SE.com

Hey, I finally bought the domain name GSL-SE.com ....

If you guys remember it used to belong to a V8 transplanted GSL-SE.

My plans are to build a exclusive site for all GSL-SE factory built cars with a rotary engine. It will not try to re-create the value of this club site. It will always link to this site for anything tech, bbs, want ads.

I think it should have a Bio page, with pictures of the owner and a few shots of the car. NO tech articles or classifieds.

Looking for some input,

John

nice. well, i think it will be a good sight, but i think people looking for some advice on a gsl-se would appreciate the tech articles as well as some troubleshooting advice. perhaps you could do a bio of the gsl-se and write a stroy about it and post pics and whatnot. hey, its your site, right?

Yes it is my site, the Rx-7 club has a lot to offer, I do not want to re-create what they already have. But I think you are right about fixes, how about with step by step instructions, with pictures?

My first goal is to have the Bio page template completed, so there is some content.

A owner's article with pic's (front, side, interior, engine) and a list of mod's. History of their car, goals with their car, etc.

Let's keep talking about what would make this work for all GSL-SE owners.

i do think a little tech info would be good. maybe not a load of it, but a basic guide of what to look for, possible problems. kind of like a buyers guide kind of thing. also, make sure you post a link to the club. i think you should post up pics of your car and other people's cars and the bio thing is neat. it lets people associate better if they have some eye candy to look at. also, a well thought out section dedicated to the entire rx-7 lineup from 79 to 85. that would give people something to compare their cas to.

You know what I've been trying to find. Information of the car's motorsport past. Not just drag, but grand touring and track time. I know RE Amemiya use to race 1st generations back in the early 80's and late 70's if you find info on that man, don't hesitate putting it on the site.

There is a book written 1992 that does just that.

Mazda Motorsports
by Connie Goudinoff

I have seen it at Amazon and Half.com for less than $40.

I think you should try at any cost to link to rx7club.com
maybe could think of it as an extension.. you won't get flooded by -SE owners,, but 'we' look for answers and a site with good and 'real' info, usefull info. how-to's, mods. links,owners/gallery,ETC. The thrill of owning GSL-SE.com will fade.keep it updated, keep it simple, and people WILL use it. IMO

have fun with it. oh,BTW,,,,you do own a -SE,,right ? lol

I have non-gsl-se cars myself but I wouldn't have the energy to do it all. I don't mean to offend anybody, maybe it is a registry site for all Rx owners, so I also bought a domain name called RotaryZone.com

No matter what happens I will always have a cool email addresses.

I think a website exclusively for GSL-SEs is a worthwhile endeavor. A section for car bios, perhaps with an option to include pictures up to a certain size, is a good idea. Some editting of the bios may be needed, because, you know.

This website is good despite all its faults, and would be a good link. Mazspeed's website would be a good link, as would Nopistons,
and also this classic site:

Get a decent digital camera so when you do your OWN tuturials you can at least show us what your talking about. Without pictures, it's worthless.

I thought there's a lot more 12A info than GSL-SE info. That would make a SE only site pretty nice for -SE owners!

What if we originally had a stock 12A base model car, and did the work to make it as good as a gsl-se? (engine swap, lsd and such?)

I think I detect some -SE envy. If any of you feel insecure about your non -SE car, just do what I did -- swap the suspension and wheels (my engine was already a RPU 13B), remove the badges, and voila! you can have a home made -SE just like I do.

Since I made the swap, my life has been transformed. I got a better job, married a model, and now live in the lap of luxury.
