gsl-se bad tps issues

so was looking at a friends 85 -se after i had got to his place. I had a feeling it had a tps that was crapping out cuz i had to set it 3 times over the last few weeks. So after warming it up and junk i went about checking the ohms idle should be around 1k and wfo about 5k. I was reading 4600 at idle and 16800 wfo. So the tps is junk, was given a new used unit and it was in spec. Well after swaping them and adjusting the tps its not willing to run right. most of the time it fires off and runs maybe 3 sec and then just dies nosaving it at all. I jacked with the idle screw on top of the t.b. a little and got it to sife and run but its hollow sounding like its on 1 rotor. any ideas? i pulled the plugs and they were ok no build up on them and not wet . cars had a new pump and filter install 500 miles back and its hard to hear the pump making noise when spinning the motor but after it fires u hear the pump noise more. its getting 12 to the pump when spinning and running. Im guessing a injection issue.

Have you checked the timing? I would start with all the basics again and work your way from there.

the car was running top notch untill the tps went out. The timing sawnt messed with so it should be right. im thinking its a computer issue im getting spark on all 4 plugs(wires via timing light) and i can hear a clicking from both infectors but id think its a weak click as its hard to hear even with the stythiscope thinggy. also want to check fuel psi but dont think fuel psi would make it run like its on 1 rotor.... a hollow sound.
