GSL rearend question
I have an '82 GS I'm slowly turning into an AutoX car. I just bought an LSD from an '83 GSL. Problem is, when one side is turned, the other side moves in the oppoite direction. I've always heard that on LSD's, it should move in the same direction.
Does this mean the diff is bad, or should it do this? If so, is there anyway to fix it? Currently it has no fluid in it, could this be part of the problem?
Also, it came with the disk brake hubs, but no disks or calipers. Anyone know where I can find these at reasonable prices? All the local auto parts stores only list rear disks for the GSL-SE. It came with the brake lines that run down the axle and into the caliper but nothing else, what else do I need to connect to my brake lines?
Thanks alot,
Joe

Either it's burned out, or it was replaced with an open diff sometime in the car's life. Apparently that wasn't uncommon, people would bring the car back to the dealer complaining of rearend chatter 'round corners so they'd swap in an open diff.

How hard is it to repair the limited slip if the clutches in it are fried? Is it worth mucking with, or should we just weld the darn thing? Joe and I picked up the whole rear for 40 bucks and we knew it was going to need work. We are trying to get him set up with a CSP autocross car.
Thanks,
James
