i have an 85 gs and just got a gsl rear end (disc brake to disc brake). i wanted to know if the e-brake cables originally for the gs rearend will work going to gsl rear end?

not sure if there's a difference in the e-brake cables or not but there must be a difference with the master cylinder as parts places ask disc or drum rear when replacing the master. don't know if there's a difference in the proportioning valve either. u can always check to see of the part numbers differ.

No, the ebrake cable will not work. You'll need one for a disc brake model.
Depending on the year of the rear end, you might have to use the driveshaft that came with it. Otherwise, you'll have to replace the flange as stated above.
I just performed this same swap on my 85GS a couple of years ago. Didn't change the master cylinder or the proportion valve when I did it. Everything works great.
Good luck.![Smilie](https://www.rx7club.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
