Is this a good price for an 84 gsl-se
What's up 1st Gens,
I found an 1984 GSL-SE, which looks to be in very good condition, but isn't running, for $800 Canadian. I don't really know what's a good price for an 84.
Thanks

That's what I paid for mine, which also wasn't running. Make sure the body is worth it, mechanical stuff is much easier to fix than bodywork. I paid 600$ for my parts car, I overpaid that one but needed it badly.

i just got a running se for 900, no rust, not driven during winters, bought it from original owner. 120000 miles but still runs great, sticky caliper but i'll fix that today. and one headlight wont go down, so im just gonna swap the headlight motor with one from another car

I got a running se w/ no rust but body was great and paint not so great. 215k miles and runs strong as ever, converted to Carb w/ Holley 600cfm and RB Manifold. Also has header, presilencer and custom exhaust from there. $1000. I did a 'ghetto' compression test and all the pulses sound even. I'll get it w/ a modified compression tester to see what it turns up today.

Before you jump into that -SE, do you know why it does not run ?? and how long has it sat for. That info matters
big time ?? I scored my -SE, that had sat for 6 years and the owner said it did not run for $ 150.00 dollors US.
Well,i was able to get the engine to run and it runs real good with no problems. I've invested around $ 500.00 dollors into the car and all it needs now is a 'new' A/C compresser and a paint job done and thats it.

Ahh that's a high price but then again it all depends on the condition of the car that you got. I got my se for $175 canadian and all that was wrong was the front tires were flat and it needed a little carb work other than that never regretted it since. A car is only worth what someone will pay for it.

i got an oppurtunity to pickup a GS parts car that has sat for a year. Supposably it only needs carb work (and of course the usuals from sitting. Guy only wants $100. I might just get it to take a few parts off of and part the rest out.
