yes and no! it used to be a resteraunt but when the road it was on became a backroad instead of a main highway they closed there doors. the other side had a small sherpa style plane in it as well. they used to make some banging shark steaks too.

I know where that is. For the longest time I thought it was a body shop because there's another place on the other side of Austin that has the front of a car through a sign.

I found it on Google Streetview :

If you got rid of the General Ree crap, and gave it a little TLC,
you could raise that car to a whole new level of "Nice!".

Just My 2 cents.

No Sunroof. Car was either was an "S" or "GS".
Although OP stated it was an 85GS.

Point taken.
Plenty of time for that in the future, and the car does have some potential. Right now its really serving has a home/test bed for a bunch of FB parts/projects that have stalled...
So, time to put them together, and have some fun.
I think the NICE one will still be the SA though; pics in my album

I think it started life as a GS, but had a GSL-SE rear under it when I bought it. I swapped in a complete GSL rear so now, at least, its all the same bolt pattern

Me likey. At least you shouldn't get any hate/vandalism from the libs 'cause no confederate flag...BUT might get sum from the Asian community. I think it's paying homage to different; nations, cultures, time periods, etc. all at the same time in an innovative and personalized way. Maybe find a way to add the Japanese flare to the "01" somehow? Maybe a metric "0.1" or ".01" ? Whatcha think? Anyway, I'm curious if you're DD'ing it now, and what public responses you've had so far...

Thnaks

So far, no haters
Everyone thats said (or looked like they wanted to say something) about the car has been good, at least a chuckle.
Asian community, see post #2 Hopefully no-one could take this as an insult
As far as the 01 goes, I thought I nailed it with the japanese calligraphy style brush strokes

Even a slanted reference to the confederacy would get one shot around here so I'm in the category of, "love it, but wouldn't drive it". Nice ride!!

^^thanks

Couldnt decide on a tune for the horn, so I just dismissed it.
Still trying to convince my daughter to draw up an anime style Bo Luke n Daisy, so I can make a decal for the back window.

Need suggestions on what model cars would be best for the (old school) Japanese ver of Boss Hoggs car, and a police cruiser

That one's a no-brainer; the chorus from "I'm Turning Japanese" by The Vapors

It's even period-correct - - Released in 1980

Oh that's easy. An old school Nissan GTR would be perfect!
