Gen 2 fuel pickup into Gen 1
Hi all,
Has anybody got any advice on the feasability of using a Gen 2 in-tank fuel pump with a gen 1 fuel tank?
I am considering this as an alternative to using the usual std fuel pump, surge tank, efi fuel pump.

Yes it can be done. I'm trying to recall who did it.
but they said it fits just right, you need to pull apart the 2nd gen tank to get the baffles out of it, then open the 1st gen tank to install the baffles.
Oh I think it was Steve84GS over at Mazspeed
I'm planning to do the same mod. I really need to quit my job so I can spend more time on these mods......
hmm...... that won't work, I doubt they would keep sending me paychecks

ive done it. i just grafted the 2nd gen stuff onto a 12a pick up. the 12a tank i had already has some baffles so i just put in this little pick up box/ slosh thingy. i havnt really tried it out but when i turn the pump on it works! but keep in mind this is a stock t2 fuel pump and i will be going to a huge slosh tank in due time. how this helps.
