gas filter
do you find it easier to change the gas filter when the tank is low or does it matter. Also where do you jack it up at or does that matter. Done it before but seem to get an endless stream or gas this time even though I clamped the hoses.

Remove the gas cap to vent the pressure first, and it shouldn't soak you too bad... another trick is to find some bolts that just fit into the fuel lines, and plug them with that. Works a lot better than trying to pinch them or anything.
However, always be sure to have a bunch of paper towels ready, and the driveway covered with a dropcloth (unless you want to royally **** off your dad and have to patch holes all day like me.) Oh, and one other tip: wear eye protection. Last time I was under there installing my Carter, I managed to squirt gasoline into my eyes - not fun!
But yeah, it's a very easy job, I usually don't jack it up.
