Gallon of water in the tank.
Last week, I posted this thread in an effort to deal with a really weird problem I was having.
I was looking at the carb so I could check the floats like someone mentioned, and I saw that there was a bunch of water in the bowls... so, I checked the fuel pump, and I got more than just gas. I poured the 'fuel' into a bottle, and there was a clear seperation between two liquids (gas and water). So I thought, great, gotta pull the tank. I took it to work and got it up on a lift to check things out, and I saw the drain plug on the tank. Thank you, Mazda. So, I drained it, and close to a gallon of the crap that came out was water.
Besides the possibility that someone took a gallon container and poured the entire thing into my gas tank when I wasn't around (which seems kinda out there because... well... who carries around a gallon of water. not too inconspicuous.), how does this happen?
It has rained -a lot- here in San Diego in recent days, and I wondered if (another odd idea) water seeped in past the gas cap? does that even sound possible?
Just trying to work this out. I ordered a locking gas cap last night, so if someone was ******* around, it won't happen again.

Years ago, I had a similar experience another car, newer model, come to find out during heavy rains water had actually run in too the gas stations storage tanks. Myself and a lot of others were pumping gas and water directly in to our gas tanks station picked up the tab for draining tank and flushing fuel system. IT SUCKED!

I think I'm going to check with the place that I always fill up at. It's just around the corner and it's virtually the only place I ever get gas, but since I didn't see signs of vandalism, I'm thinking that maybe there was water in the gasoline itself.
Anyhow, if it was vandals, they did a damn good jobs concealing it, and I must've made some enemies.
In any case, better water than sugar, right?

maybe the rotors will actually spin the sugar it into cotton candy instead of just crystalizing in the engine. Imagine strings of cotton candy coming out of the exhaust. Would you taste it if that ever happened

Carb hat
I decided to go ahead and buy the Racing Beat CottonCandyMaker Carburator Hat.
This improves the flavor of the sugar after internal combustion processing... here, I mounted it onto my Holley and took a picture.
I think CP Racing has one in development too, but K&N isn't gonna get in on this one.
