Sorry for lacking on updates on here. Last i went out I was at 150whp and still tons more of tuning needed. I was still smoothing out the TQ curve, as for the top end, I most likely will be in need of bigger injectors (I currently have some 750cc siemens), but would probably have to get 850cc to get it going properly for the top end as i'm reaching duty cycles in the mid 90%. I should be in my goal of 160 i believe when all said and done though. The throttle response is amazing though. I've done 3 time attacks with the car now, and honestly the last time i went out, on the long straight away, being inbetween a 300zx twin turbo, and the new mitsubishi evo they weren't pulling that much more than me. I really need to get a good camera setup on my car to get some nice action

So got some new dyno numbers ... I'm about 158 whp now with them, also i did some drag racing last friday and have some numbers off that. I did a 14.63 at the best that day, I'm going to try to go out next friday if the weather holds up and try to go for 14.5. Martin who's got an s5 t2 street ported engine in a first gen did a best of 14.26 ... just to give you a reference to how the power would feel.

Are there ITB kits for SE engines? I'm liking your setup a lot!

the itb's are for either 12a or 13b... as long as you get the right intake manifold. if you get a sidewrap for a 13b that goes to a side draft carb that is ... it will bolt up to it. You can make one too if you really wanted.

any updates on how this setup is doing?

i currently have a weber 48 IDA on my large port 13b. Eventually I would like to go with this kit and be fuel injected.

If you're referring to the hard lines, this is them:

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...5&autoview=sku

3/8" lines. All other stuff is -6 an feed and return.

As far as power I still sit at about 160 whp, haven't had a chance to do anymore tuning due to the snow up there and my injector limitations. I'm going to try to squeeze another 10 whp though next year with a few more timing tricks that i've learned, and my lighter driveterrain components. Remember I'm only 12a so you should be aiming for a bit more power than me with your 13b. You should be atleast at 170whp if you're streetported.

Besides that she still run pretty good.

Just an update ... I was talking to Jimmy (owner of fuji racing) and i'm probably going to get some 19mm air horns. What I'll be doing is dyno comparison between the ones tha I have right now and the 19mm, and also I'm going to try taking out the 5mm spacer inbetwen the ITbs and manifold and if I can get another 10whp+ in the top end with the shorter runners.

well Jimmy gave me a call a few days ago concerning his car and his 1/4 mile run. He did 13.5 in his 170 whp Miata, his car with driver weighs in at just a bit under 2300lb ... so pretty close to me. Here's his video of that run:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0fwyhEK0lnM

He also does 0-60 in about 4.5 seconds ... so since he called me up I've been wanting to hit up the track again and I'll be doing that tonight. With my ECU running better than last time that I went out to the track, fresh rubber (still all season for now though), not short shifting like I did last time, I think me getting into 14.3's might be achieveable! Wish me luck and I'll post my times when I get ... provided I don't break anything

about not breaking anything ... i guess that XTD clutch is toast now ... running 16's for most of the day first gear was fun, even took on a wrx with mods off the line Also i had acess to some toyo nt555r tires by surprise at the track but still that didn't help maintain the clutch.

Don't you mean Nitto NT555R? See what happens when you buy wear parts from eBay. If anything those stickier tires were more responsible for taking out the clutch. More driveline shock because they would be grabbing harder than your Toyo's.

You forgot to call me when you were done. I'm buying a trans from Dan out of a GSL-SE. Supposed to bolt right in without any modification at all, so I might have a car that moves by the end of the weekend.

lol .. well i had bought the thing a while back before i was much into forum and stuff. I did over 100 laps on it, plus 2 drag events and an autocross, and lastly daily driving/ spirited abuse ... for the price it was good.

I think i'm going to get a bully stage 3 or 4 clutch now ... I have to wait till monday to get pricings though.
