Fuel efficiency questions

My car is getting 300km (yes auzzie) per 50L. Thats pushing 17L per 100km, this seems pretty **** considering i have a stock 13B with extractors on my car. Is there much i can do to reduce this? it has been sitting for a long time was wondering if the following would help:

1.) timing?
2.) carb clean treatment?
3.) engine clean treatment, auzzie brands?
4.) any other suggestions?

it has new air and oil filters. thanks

My Series 3 averaged 10L per 100km from Sydney to Brisbane with the completely stock 12A and auto box. That was before I put the 13BT in it. lol
