Fuel door problem

How do i get the gas door off without any electric power? any help would be hot thanks guys!

You can peel back the panel on the inside of the car nearest the fuel door and there is a tab that will release it... Just feel around for a thin piece of metal that points towards the rear of the car. This is how it is on my '84...

Actually you just reach behind the rear piece of carpet, you dont have to remove the big plastic piece.

On my 82 , it has a key lock, along with the release inside the car.

well, can't be too many places to look.. either the switch is messed up or the solenoid to release it is busted.. my friend's was rusted stuck.. he messed his paint up pulling it open, we pushed it in a couple of times and now it works..

Good luck finding the solinoid...

The one in my '85 went bad, the only one I could find was on a wreck in a salvage yard.

I was told they can't even be ordered from Japan any more
