How is it frozen up?

I only mention, because I just did the brakes on my Civic, and the calipers were frozen in the sense that it took a BFH to pivot them up and down on the top slider.

BUT.... they seem to move in and out on the slider just fine, because the car brakes excellently; no pulling to one side, no overheating brakes, nothing.

I'm just saying, just because it's hard to swivel the things doesn't necessarily mean they won't move back and forth.

Sorry if this is bad info, just what I've seen on my Honda lol. My RX-7 has always been all slick and lubed up, never had that problem

My 85 was like that after I got it running about 3 years ago, I just took the old piston out of the caliper sanded it down, and rebuilt it using a rebuilding kit.. No problem since then.

I had the same problem, its been so long ago I cant remeber how I got it out, but I did rebuild it and it has worked perfect. I sandpaper the crap out of the piston, got all the rust off it, and put new seals in it. I think? I got the kit from like advance or something, **** it might have been the dealer I dont really recall..

I think the kit was reasonable it was like $30 or so. I remember I bought a new rotor at that time, and that one really felt good on the pocket. Like a $100 something.

I rebuilt both my front calipers when I put them on a while back because they wouldn't slide either. The kit is cheap and it's easy to do. To get the old one out, just use a blow nozzle that has a rubber tip. Stick it in the bleed valve hole and blast that bitch. Careful, the pistons should shoot out pretty damn hard.

Try blowing compressed air into it if that wont work use a grease gun and fitting (very messy dont ask)if you do it this way make sure you get all of it back out when you think its clean do it again .
