Front End Rebuild

I’m getting ready to continue the rebuild on the front end on the POS Racer.

Have already replaced the Control Arm, tension rod, and sway bar bushings, and end links with energy suspension bushings.

Planning to rebuild the Idler assembly, and replacing the Inter & outer tie rods, and the center studs and nuts and the ball joints.

Think I got all items covered, is their any thing else I should be replacing while I have her apart?

Where the best place to get the parts?

Thanks!

When you finally do race her... and if you want to get the upper hand on the competition... make sure that you're going down a hill with the wind at your back so you can get your maximum speed....

And... if this doesn't work.... replace your fuel pump...

If anyone is reading this and doesn't understand the joke... go here and read POSracers last reply...

I raced her last weekend; the hill and the wind would have really helped! We don’t call her the POS Racer for nothing…….

Thanks Phoenix, looks like VB has the best prices. Going to get the bushings for the idler, appreciate the tip!

Where are you at in Western Pa? My grandmother lived outside of Hadley, near Greenville, spent a bunch of time out their in my younger days!

Oh shoot! POS, wait a sec. There is actually a place online that I have the link too that seems to sell the energy suspension bushings cheeper than VB. Lemme dig through my cpu and see if I can find it. I will edit this reply with the link when I locate it...

Here it is: http://www.suspension.com/mazda.htm You may want to double check the part numbers (doesn't look like they list anything specific for the GSL-SE) and the prices just to ensure they are the ones you need, and are indeed still cheaper.

Good luck!
