Captain of the boat commander sunk a 83 rx7 in the Ohio. I got the motor when picking up parts at the guys house. They tried to get it running. But failed. It sit 4 years. I got it locked up. Unlocked it but compression still sucked. Cracked it open. 2 good rotors, 1 excellent rotor housing and other very good condition. Few flattened apex springs but apex seals looked good. Been a long time since I saw insides this nice.

As soon as I can figure how to do it with my iPhone. At work now. But I spec 'd the worst apex seal of them all. I got:

Width 2.916 mm
Depth 7.263 at the widest and narrowest at 7.156mm.

EVEN... If they had rebuilt the carb right and cleaned the distributor out. It never would have ran. The pre car was stopped up BIG time with mud. It was full of mud all the way into the exhaust manifold.

Crazy that internals could be good after being submerged in water and mud. Nice present for you though, late Christmas

This is the 4th 12a I've tire down in the last 2 days. I have 2 more to go. The next motor has really really good compression in the rear rotor. It's in the 100 ish range on all 3 sides. The front rotor had good even pulses but only in the 40-50 range. Through the exhaust ports on the apex seals are there and shiny. The rotor housing looks pretty good. Might be a small flake in the chrome around the opening angle of the exhaust stroke. Both housings look the same but this side is low. Out of 6 motors I might get enough parts to build 2 to 2 1/2 motors. Picking up a low low mile 13b today. Crossing fingers..,
