That's normal science stuff. When the air is colder it is denser, thus more fuel. Hotter, then the air is thinner and less fuel, less power. but in Houston with that god awful Humidity it takes extra Hp to cut thru the air, lol.

Well, heard about it but never notice the difference.I have driven many different cars, never notice the temperture making any power. On the 7 the revs went a lot higher and faster than normal and the exhaust had a deeper tone. The car love's it and I love it!

Unless you have an aftermarket CAI on modern cars, you won't feel the difference. The stock intake system on most cars is too restrictive, and I think the computer actually compensates in most cases, bringing the power back down. I know I can feel a difference now that its colder in my 02 Alero.

But really, there is nothing like a nice cool dry day to make your car perform better.

I think of it more as getting the horsepower out that your supposed to have though, my feeling is that the heat/humidity reduces horsepower, rather than thinking that cool/dryness adds any.
Nonetheless, it feels good to have that power back in the fall when its nice and cool. My favorite time to spend in the 7!

bout 2 weeks ago i was driving my 7 (OER sideraft equipped), and i must say shes a lot more lively at 40* but don't turbo guys have to worry bout over boosting or leaning out when its cold?my buddies SRT4 actually makes an extra pound or two in our current temp. up here is wisconsin, also he doesn't dare run the high boost setting in his b18 turbo hatch this time o' year for fear of blowing er up.
also, sure colder air is more dense, but you don't neccesarily get any more fuel from your carb, it just gives you more air per quantity of fuel ie. leaning it out, thus more power...just what ive been tought.
fuel injected cars usually have an air temp sensor (if its MAP) or if its MAF its essentially built into the mass air, so they have some ability to adjust fuel based on outside temps, to an extent.
