FMOC, Beehive alternative

You know how the beehive oil cooler kinda puts you in a bind when trying to run aftermarket gauges and oil lines to the turbo? Well, that leaves us with one of two choices: One, remove the beehive and try to scrounge a FMOC off a older first gen, or second gen. Then replace the Beehive with a standered oil pedestal. Then use a block between the pedestal and motor to gain your extra ports to run your oil line or gauges. Two: try to find an adapter (or make one) to go between the oil pressure sender, and the engine. Anyone who has opted for choice two, knows what kind of headache and problems you can run into with doing that. There are other alternatives out there that I have seen people do, and some with limited success. Well, getting on to my situation. I really don't want to remove a larger capacity radiator to use an older first gen FMOC, and I don't want to go through the hassle of trying to scrounge up a good used set of parts from a second gen, I think I may have found a resonable salution to let us Beehive guys have the best of both worlds. So, with that being said. Let me show you guys something I am going to try on my 12AT project.

This is one choice that I found.

This is another choice that I found that will let you add a FMOC later if you want as an adition to the Beehive.

I have E-mailed the company that sells these, and they have told me that these will work with the Beehive oil cooler. I hope that this will be a help to any of us who are trying to do a 12AT on a budget.

Interesting find. If you buy one, report back on how it works.

I have seen the honda guys using those. Should work fine as long as it does not add to much height to the setup.

those are big hooters.

The "Gauge Adapter" that most people have for sale out there will not work with the Beehive oil cooler. If you look at most of them on their websites, they will have a disclamer stating "Not for use with Beehive oil cooler". I have purchased the adapter with the three ports. Should be here shortly. BTW, the big hooters, and the tall chick, ar some of Billy Lane's, and the late Indian Larry's friends that I meet a few years ago at Daytona bike week. The big hooters-------- Oh' yeah!!!!!!

I don't know about using a fmoc along with the beehive cooler. The beehive would actually be heating up the oil while the fmoc was trying to cool it... sort of... but then again you could always cap the coolant lines to avoid that issue. Interesting finds there big man.
