flywheel question

I wouldnt attempt it unless you feel like tearing something up. Its only $20 and more then worth it. http://www.mazdatrix.com/toolmisc.htm

If you have access to a compressor and air tools you could use a impact hammer and hit the flywheel bolt in the corner that will cause it to spin counterclockwise/off. It doesn't damage the bolt and gets those extra stuck ones off quick.

Make the tool to hold it. Get a 4" or so legnth of angle iron and drill two holes in one end to bolt to two of the pressure plate boltholes.

Ok, I just used a spare front motor mount. Put a bolt through the mount into where the tranny mounts on the block, and another bolt through the mount to where the clutch mounts on the flywheel. It worked great. I used a spare one in case I ruined my good one, but with how well it went, Id do it with my good one . Oh, but I also used a 3/4" impact wrench, that might have helped a little .

Now that we got it off, how do we get it back on, with only a 150lb. torque wrench? Knowing it has to be torqued to approx. 350lb., I think I remember seeing some posts on using certain lenghts of pipe, but can't find them.
