Jerk?!!
PM- 3/11-quote *****Yeah I'm lazy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dude,
You don't have to be a jerk about it. Notice that everyone else responded nicely. If you don't have an answer for someone, then don't post. Guys like you should stay off the forum.***** -end quote
Are you f**king kidding me! I have made a point not to be a dick here on the forums, even when I think I'd be right. I simply agreed with you. in youe own words you said you were lazy! I was actually flipping you **** for not even bothering to look. A search or even a small effort to read the FAQ's would have given you what you wanted without asking for help. In case you didn't bother to read the forum rules or guidelines. FAQ stands for FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS and was compiled at the expense of others time for our benefit. Specifically to answer all the common questions so that those here can use the time they donate to helping others by actually helping with "real" issues! Not so that some *** too lazy to even use a search button or read the FAQ's, who self admittedly hasn't even looked for his own answer can waste the members time. Not to mention going out of your way to **** ME OFF! I was jekin your chain *******. But it WAS and IS true as well. Sorry if it hurt or if telling the truth pisses you off, but for someone to lazy to do a search, you sure made time to pm me and call me a jerk. Guess your laziness is selective huh!? As to staying off the forum, maybe you should actually learn the meaning of the word, before you use it. We aren't here to serve you! In short as my first official "jerk" post, KISS MY A** DUDE!!!
My apologies to everyone else, but I gotta call bullshit when it's thrown in my face.

When you get the nut loose the next task is to get the flywheel to come off of the E-shaft. This is a tapper fit so it won't just come loose. The best way I have found to hit the flywheel out on the edge with a brass or lead hammer. I have a big brass hammer - this works everytime for me....even on light weight steel flywheels
Mazdatrix has a great description of this process on their website.

i used a 54 mm impact on the nut and then inserted a pry bar on one side of the flywheel and tapped the other with a brass hammer. came right off. i also reused the nut with no problems.

If you dont want to reuse the nut or you damage it too much in the removal process, forum vender Rotary-Works sells a titanium one. No real extra value except that it is cool.
