floods and wont start....
i have a 1985 rx-7 with the 12a. i bought this car from my buddy not running. it ran when he parked it for a year. then we got back and he started deleteing the emissions on it and it wont run now. all it does is turn over and occasionally puff a little smoke out the back. and once the fuel starts to pump into the carb its all down hill from there. it just pours the fuel into the jets in all 4 barrels. and when i shut the car off and everything it continues to pump the fuel in till it empties the fuel tank completely. please help me cuz im totally lost here!

Welcome to the forum and the Darkside. In my sig line is a link to the online FSMs, factory carb manual, etc. DL what you need and start reading.
Carbs that have sat for a while usually need rebuilt. You can pick up a kit at Autozone, other local parts suppliers or through any of the rotary specific sellers..

1st thing to do is a search on the deflood procedure using the keywords deflooding an rx7, or deflood, or deflooding. After you do that then I would recommend just for starting purposes to keep the fuel pump disabled. Spray some starting fluid down the carb and see it she wants to fire up. That way you atleast will know if it will start.
Then you can work on the carb issue.
Also make sure the air vent solenoid was plugged back in. This is a common problem when the emissions/rats nest is removed. If it is not plugged in it will flood.
If you do not know what or where the solenoid is then download the copy of the FSM per trochoids link provided on this page.
