Flasher issue?

I have an 85 gs.
My turn signals flash really fast on both sides. i checked all the bulbs... none burn out. My hazards flash normally. i have been looking for a flasher unit but can only see this bigger black box unit thing?? is that the flasher? If so where do i get one? Its been hard to find one so far....

Does anyone know where the flasher is??? Honestly. I may be an idiot but would appreciate the help.

Your flasher unit is located in your "ECM" as the Haynes manual calls it. Its basically a very primative PCM unit Mazda put in. In that larger black box there should be a removable relay; that is your flasher unit.

You may have to order it as its not exactly an off the shelf type of part by looking at it.

You need to check your grounds and bulbs both front and rear. When the indicator lights show that the bulbs are flashing rapidly it is usually an indication of either a bad ground circuit at the front or rear or bad bulbs either front or rear. Verify that when you signal to the left and right that the bulbs are lighting up both in the front and rear of the vehicle.

like i said all the bulbs are lighting up. Maybe ill just replace them all and see if tht helps at all
