Thumbs up Fixed weird electrical problem!

I had strange, intermittant dash light problems I've been chasing for a month such as, signal lights coming on when headlights are on. Advise from this great forum said to check grounds, ect. Well, after nearly deciding I'd just have to live with it, I happened to pull the right signal and side marker lights-MAJOR corrosion so bad I couldn't get the bulbs out. Off to the boneyard monday for replacements
This problem came and went and was driving me nuts, hope this helps someone to return the favor for all the help you guys have given me.

congrats! I know what a pain in the @ss electrical gremlins are. I've had a few myself. I just solved my headlights going up but not down problem... turns out one of the previous owners wired in a 30 amp blade fuse after the normal 15 amp tube fuse, and that fuse went out... oh well, this is why we love these cars, right?

You are so right Jeff! I've never been one to work on my own car much until I got this 85 a month ago. I can't seem to tear myself away from tinkering with it. I get stumped, run to the computer, get ideas, run back to the garage....next thing you know, I'm late for work.
What IS it with these cars.........

I still think they get jealous.... every time I hop on my mounatin bike and hit the hills for a couple good DH runs, the next time I take her out for a drive, something goes wrong. Then, normally it costs about $50 and some baby talking to get her running well again... oh well.. the looks and the driving parts are well worth it.

Bragged too soon, dammit!

Well, replaced the passenger side light and signal lights that were all corroded. I was SURE that was the problem.
Nope! Still, right signal stays on solid w/headlights on. headlights off, left signal normal, right signal flashes ALL rear lights, as well as the right ones up front. The thing is, this problem went away for a few days. I've checked & cleaned every ground I can find, reseated connectors under the hood, etc.
Anyone got any brain storms? BTW I PROMISE to verify results before I make a thread in the future!

I forgot to add:
Lights off, signal left: signal light works, side light is dark. Signal right, all ok, side & signal light flash together.
Lights on, all side lights on normally, obviously bulbs are ok, I replaced them anyway.
Ideas???
