No. I didn't port my engine. I just cleaned it up good and replaced all the gaskets and seals.

It's probably ok. Some I put together end up kinda tight but get easier in a few days as the oil contacts all the seals and surfaces.

Thanks for your reply. I tried the other wrench and it came out about the same. I know I did everything right. Your reasoning makes sense.
